So while we were in New Hope at the Logan Inn (more on that to come) I hear Taps was at Fort Delaware. Anyone have any info?

Well it feels weird replying to my own post, however -
I have a lot of friends that work for different areas of the State. Sure enough, my friend Lisa works with the guy that spent two nights with the team while they were investigating. She's kicking herself because she didn't even think of it at the time. His comment, "oh yeah, I could have got you over there!" She's kicking herself.
Anyway, he was asked not to discuss details, but was off camera at the reveal and said it was very good and that it was well worth Tap's time to come down.
Guess that just begs the question if they are going to add Fort Delaware to their list of travel places, as I see they already are taking groups to Fort Milfin (sic?).

"Well worth their time to come down" WooHoo! I cant wait to watch that episode. They had an article in the News Journal about them investigating Pea Patch/Fort Delaware. But I figured that once they put the article in the paper most likely the actual investigation was probably over.
I went there once a few years ago and was very annoyed with the "reinactment" of ghostly sightings but always wanted to go back during the daytime just to walk around the place and take it all in without a employee running past the windows in a fluffy white pirate shirt. lol

Amelia -
Mark June 25th on your calendar. My state friend says that was the air date he was given. One of the local bars may be having an airing party.
Also, they are trying to talk Taps into using the fort for their live Halloween show. That would be interesting.
That's the info I have now. Always subject to change of course...

that would be awesome if they were going to use Ft. Delaware for their live halloween show. i've posted on the TAPS forums for the longest time trying to get them to come to Ft. Delaware. Glad they took the opportunity, if they didn't i knew they'd miss out on something good. can't wait for the show!!

For anyone who hasn't seen it yet. This is Jason and Grant at the recent Comic.con. At 39:43 (early on, the time counts down, not up) Grant mentions the up coming Fort Delaware episode briefly. Haven't seen much past that, so I'm not sure what else is on here

Ok, the air date has been moved up to June 18th (next week!). Below
is the letter from Dawn Morris, marketing director for the Delaware
State Parks. Not sure if I'll make Crabby Dicks myself, but I hope
anyone else interested goes out and supports this cause!
Here's hoping it's a good investigation!

<Dawn Morris wrote:>
It’s a done deal! I have confirmed with Crabby Dicks that we will have the event there. The details are as follows:
EVENT INFORMATION:
The event will be held at Crabby Dicks in Delaware (CD) on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 6PM-10PM (or later)
This will be held as a fund raiser for Ft. Delaware and 22% of all food purchased that evening will go to Ft. Delaware in the form of a check (payment within two weeks after event)
They prefer that people make reservations to better prepare, but it’s not required
Patrons don’t have to say they are there for the Ft. Delaware “Ghost Hunters” benefit in order for us to receive the 22%
A DSP table can be set up by the front door to sell items (depending on the weather the table can also be set up outside)
Speakers and TV’s will be set to show the episode throughout the restaurant at 9pm
PROMOTION INFORMATION:
CD will put it on their web site
CD will post the event on their myspace page
CD will create flyers and put them in a couple local shops and post office
CD will stay open late as well as there is a crowd
DSP will create a poster which will be placed in front of their restaurant as soon as we have confirmation from Sci Fi
DSP will promote the event (press release, web site, flyers at DSP locations, and crawler on Comcast broadcast and website)
DSP will create posters and flyers for Ft. Delaware
DSP will contact all “ghost hunter” type organizations _________________ ..........

Ok, I'm going to comment on the airing party at Crabby Dicks, and then start a new thread about the Fort Delaware show because I'd really like to hear what the DGH team thinks about the evidence the presented.
First, I was lucky enough to sit with Matt (quoted at the end of the WNJ article) and his family and friends. He added some great insight during the show. After the show Lee Jennings came up and spoke to us for awhile. My son was like "this is the closest I've ever been to someone I just saw on TV!". Really great time. We were worried that the restaraunt would be noisy, but everyone seemed to be there for the show, because when it was on you could hear a pin drop.
I'd just like to give cudos to Matt for making sure CD had enough TVs and also the right cable package (they weren't getting the scifi channel when they agreed to do this - yikes!). It really was a blast. Didn't see any DGH shirts, but I hope some of you made it - a fun experience if you're a fan of the show, and interested in the paranormal.

sounds like CDs ending up being alot of fun. our team wanted to make it, but a couple of were out of town and others had to work early in the morning. CDs should have a 'ghost hunters' event every wednesday from 7-11. Maybe they can have some specials for the 'ghost hunters' nights. 1/2 price appetizers...
...we will be getting new DGH t-shirts made sometime in the next couple months. our team is having a meeting in July and we will be making structural changes to our team. we'll be making major changes and steps in the new few months. i'll keep you posted!!

Gypsy,
Glad you had a good time at CD's! I had to work late and wasnt able to go, but was able to get home in enough time to catch it on the tube.
I've got some thoughts myself on the episode, but I'll post them on the other thread.

There was a time when, if you had a boat, you could go to Pea Patch island off season and just roam around undisturbed. I did this quite a bit in the mid eightys. The stories I heard back then where about the pots and pans in the kitchen, and smelling a stew, and seeing a women dressed in period clothing stirring the kettle, or sweeping with a broom. About a confederate soldier who was tortured there and he still roams the halls near the area. About smelling gun powder and hearing a cannon going off. About voices in a bunk area, and a harmonica being played. Something about a fire? And something about a apperition making a bed? The last I was there was about late Sept. to early Oct. of '85. And I experianced a few things. I tell that story in the appropriate thread. _________________ (With a Smile) I may not be a Spring Chicken, But I aren't a Fall Turkey either.
